EGG SUPPLIES SHORT.

(Special to the “ Star.”) DUNEDIN, January 16. Eggs are in short supply on the Dunedin markets, and the wholesale price has risen by Id to lOd a dozen. The price is still low for this period of the season, and it is becoming evident that if Otago poultry farmers had not reentered the export trade this year their difficulties would have been serious. They shipped 3700 crates of thirty dozen eggs, and the export has prevented the local market from being over-supplied.
