TRAMWAY BOARD.
Chairman to be Elected on Saturday. The first meeting of the new Tramwav Board will be held on Saturday morning. when the only business will be the election of a chairman and a deputy-chairman. On Monday afternoon there will be another meeting of the board when ordinary business will be dealt with. A decision to hold these meetings w-as reached at a caucus of the Labour members of the board yesterday afterCouncil Congratulations. On the motion of the Mayor (Mr D. G. Sullivan. M.P.I, the City. Council last evening extended its congratulations to Councillors J. K. Archer. J. Mathison and G. T. Thurston on their election to the Tramway Board, and to Councillor Elizabeth R. M’Combs, M.P., on her re-election.
