Criticism of the action of the Town Clerk in addressing a letter to the honorary secretary of the Somerfield Burgesses’ Association to Spreydon was expressed by the president of the association. Mr R. Jones, last evening. Mr Jones said that he hoped that the matter would be brought under the notice of the Town Clerk. When the association was first formed a list of the boundaries of Somerfield was sent to all public bodies including the City Council. It seemed that the association’s efforts to popularise and advertise the Somerfield district were of no avail. It was agreed to bring the matter before the attention of the Town Clerk.
