Country <o. Steans Cup Match. (Special to the ’’ Scar.") TIMARU, December 3. The Canterbury representative bowling team had a fairly comfortable win against South Canterbury in the annual Steans Cup match played on the Kia Toa green yesterday. Conditions were dull, with rain threatening at the start, but a light drizzle for a few minutes was all that resulted, and play was not affected. Winning six rinks out of eight the visitors finished with 21 points to spare. Many cf the games were closely contested and some excellent bowling was seen on both sides.
