METHODIST LADIES’ GUILD.
The annual meeting of the Upper Riccarton Methodist Church Ladies’ Guild was held in the Guild room. Mrs H. Ryan presided over a large attendance of members and friends. The following officers were elected for the y ear; —President. Mrs H. Ryan; vicepresidents. Mesdames E. Ohatterton, W. Macdonald. K. Exton, F. Boon; honorary secretary, Miss M Exton; assistant secretary, Miss M. D. Clements; treasurer. Miss I. Chatterton; buying committee. Mesdames M’Allister and E. Chatterton. It was decided at the meeting to send a letter of appreciation to Miss A. Taggart for her invaluable services during the past four years. The report for the past year was satisfactory, and the balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £l2 7s -id. A large number Of made up garments were sent during the year to the Riccarton Relief Depot and a knitted quilt made by the members was donated to the needy. Mrs H. Ryan thanked all for services given. Afternoon tea was served.
