FIRE AT DOBSON.

Two Shops and Dwellings Destroyed. (Special to the “ Star.’*) GREYMOUTH, April 8. A fire last night at Dobson destroyed two combined shops and dwellings a few feet apart, owned by Mr T. Gilligan and Mrs R. Low. The inmates of the Cosmopolitan Hotel were aroused by a man knocking on the door, but by then both dwellings were ablaze, and it was impossible to save them. A man residing in the building owned by Mrs Low escaped. Residents saved Hill’s shop and dwelling, and also the contents of Mrs Low’s building, which was not insured.
