Club Review* Work of Past Season. Success attended all phases of the Edgeware Bowlin*, Croquet and Tennis Club, according to a review of the past year's activities by the retiring president (Mr J. W. Bean land), who presided over the annual meeting last evening. : There was a fair attendance. The bowl--1 ing section, it was reported, had reduced its overdraft bj’ £«0, the tennis section showed a good financial result, and the croquet section had a credit of £2O on the year's working. Mr J. B. Borthwick was elected president and Mr John Chatfleld vice-presi- | dent, on the recommendation of all sec- | tions. Other appointments were: Secretary and treasurer, Mr J. It- Crocker; j auditors, Messrs D- CL Burns and WRose; delegate to Croquet Association, Mrs -T. W. Bean land: delegate to Bowling Centre, Mr D. Beggatt; delegates to canterbury Lawn Tennis Association. Messrs Clothier. Griffiths and MTtae; croquet section delegate to bowling section, Mr D. C. Burns. Mr Beanland, vacating the presidency, thanked the members and executive for their loyal co-operation and support. The Incoming president. Mr Borthwick, thanked the members for the honour done him and expressed the hope that he would be accorded the same measure of support as past presidents had been. St Albans Club. The thirty-first annual meeting of the St Albans Bowling and Croquet Club was held in the pavilion, St Albans Street, last evening, Mr F. T. Evans, the president, being In the chair. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—President. Mr R. M. Mitchell; vice-president, Mr W. J. LeCren; bowling and club secretary, Mr H. P. Donald; treasurer, Mr P. G. Grant: ground superintendent. Mr J. X. Du Feu; hon auditor. Mr G. Callender. The following officers were elected at a subsequent meeting of the bowling section:—Committee. Messrs H. D. Dowry, C. E. Wilson, W. Moor and B. B. Jordan; executive committee members, Messrs Jordan and Penlington; match committee, Messrs Penlington, Moor and W. Barker; delegate to Christchurch Centre, Mr H. J. B. Haydock; selection committee. Messrs Moor, T. D. Kendall and Penlington. There was only a short discussion on a letter from the Centre asking for the club's opinion on the question of holding the three-rinks championships next season. It was decided, on the motion of Mr Evans, to oppose holding the championships.
