MINIATURE RIFLES.
Christchurch Working Men’s Club. Following were the highest scores off the rifle at the Christchurch Working Men’s Club shoot last week, when the second match for the president’s trophy was fired:—G. Crump 70, R. Smith 70, H. O’Connor 70, It. Davidson 69, T. Armstrong 68, F. Simpson 68. F. Williamson 68. Major Oates’s trophy was won by F. Williamson with one of a handicap, 70, 70, 70. leaving K. Davidson, J. It. Hollows and J. Lanyon to shoot off for second place. W. Gibson’s trophy was won by G. Crimp, scratch, 70, 69. In the competition for the most bullseyes the following are leading:—G. Crimp 41, F. Williamson 40, H. Harries 39.
