The M.C.C. has informed the Australian Press Association that its committee did not meet yesterday and there was no announcement to make concerning the captaincy of the team for Australia. The “News-Chronicle” announced that following the te: t match the M.C.C. committee selected Jardine to captain the English side on its tour of Australia and New Zealand. INDIA V. OXFORDSHIRE.
