FINAL RECITAL.

Excellent Playing by Mr Gordon Bryan. Some admirable playing was heard at the Radiant Hall last evening, when Air Gordon Bryan, the distinguished English pianist, gave his final recital in the South Island. He showed a fine appreciation of the pieces, most of them by modern composers, and made a memorable ending to his series of recitals. Aliss Freda Judkins sang several of Mr Bryan’s compositions during the evening and Air Harold Bec-k’s string orchestra of twenty players provided a pleasing background to the playing, besides giving an opening number. ; Madame Ottlee’s pupils, Alisses Alyra Sutton, Dulcia Philpott and Clarice Cooper and Mr Douglas Ruckling, gave gongs by Mr Bryan and were each 1 awarded prizes as part of Aladame Ottlee’s competitions.
