Annual Meeting of Past and Present Students.

The annual meeting of the Christchurch Technical College Past and Present Students’ Association was held last evening. Aliss I. V. Agassiz presided over an attendance of twenty-five. The following officers were elected:— President, Aliss Agassiz; vice-presi-dents, Alessrs AT. B. Robertson, W. Hughes and F. AI. Haworth; secretary, Air C. Sanderson; assistant secretary, Aliss E. L. Harris; treasurer, Miss A. Hughes; auditor, Air R. J. AlClaren; social committee, Alisses C. A. Powell, M. Christian and K. Clayton, Messrs J. Taverner, S. Aluirson, J. Berry and R. Alarriott; magazine committee. E. Wood, D. Bentley, A. Haworth, D. Irving and G. C. Geddes. . __ „ Air W. J. Dobbs reported that Airs Howell, wife of a former head master, had asked him to get together a committee of those interested to arrange for a competition for a cup, which she offered. She had stated that it would be for a speech on some subject which would tend to bring .about a better international understanding. Already several had expressed their willingness to compete for the cup, and it looked as though the competition would be attended by great success.
