JUDGE HEYDON DEAD.

United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received March 7, 11 a.m.) SYDNEY, March 7. The death is announced of Mr Justice Heydon, aged 87. Death was due to pneumonia. Judge Heydon was called to the Bar in Sydney in 1875. He was a Legislative Councillor and held Ministerial office in the Dibbs Government. He was appointed to the Bench in 1905. As Arbitration Court Judge he was the first man in Australia to state the principle of the living wage, which later was given effect to by Mr Justice Higgins.
