Delegates to League Lose Tempers. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received March 7, 9.15 a.m.) GENEVA, March 6. The strain of events at Shanghai reacted on the self-control of Viscount Sato and Mr Yen. Mr Yen asserted that Japanese officers had not concealed their intention of taking the entire region between Shanghai and Nanking. f Viscount Sato retorted: Shanghai is a whispering gallery, where false rumours and biased news are bred. Mr Yen angrily protested and the exchanges persisted for forty-five minutes. M. Boncour, chairman, commenting on the incident, said that daily continuance of that sort of thing would stultify the functioning of the Assembly. Sir John Simon laughingly intervened. “It would facilitate a peaceful solution of the present controversy if the local hostilities were suspended," he said.
