SUBURBAN CRICKET.

Eighth Round of Matches Continued. RAIN HOLDS UP PLAY. The Suburban Cricket Association’s competitions were continued on Saturday, when the eighth round was begun. The weather was unfavourable, a light rain delaying the start of matches until after three o'clock and many of thegames wtere not commenced. At Sunnyside Beckenham began their first innings at 3.15 p.m. and compiled 202, N. Stokes 71 and R. Sherriffs 37, being responsible for more than half the total. Sunnyside went in at 6.5 p.m. and at stumps had Put on 25 without losing a wicket. Shirley had first strike against St' Albans and put on 262 for the loss of four wickets. E. Taylor 108 not out, playing a fine innings. The Railway v. W.M.C game was not played owing to the wet state of the pitch. Sunnyside v. Beckenham.

Beckfenham won the toss and elected to bat. The wicket was soft and the outfield wet.
