Old Collegians Bat. To bat 142 minutes for 82 runs at the expense of two wickets was the performance of Old Collegians against Sydenham on Saturday. This leaves them to get 191 to secure a win on the first innings in the semi-final, and the match will be continued at odd hours during the week. There was little to trouble about with the bowling, but the batsmen and Chrystall in particular were content to stick at the wickets, and never looked like making a score. Even R. O. Talbot poked about in an insipid manner. W{iat with the dull weather conditions and the dull batting it was surprising that the spectators lasted it out, but for some unaccountable reason they did.
