American Demand for N.Z. Wool Probable. “ I would not be surprised to see America interested in the coming New Zealand wool clip,” said Mr Herbert Hill, a Christchurch woolbroker, who has just returned ffom a visit to England. Mr Hill predicted that America’s own clip was going into rapid consumption. There would be a shortage of cross-bred wools, and the prospect of a fair demand from America. Bradford people, Air Hill continued, were fairly optimistic. Fie was in Bradford when the Hoover plan was mooted, and there were signs of improvement in the position. It was not anticipated that there would be any big rise in prices, but they were sanguine that things would improve.
