WEDDINGS.
New Zealander Married in Scotland. Studholme-Crawford. (Special to the “ Star.”) LONDON, July 15. The marriage took place yesterday at St Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Fife, of Mr Derek Skene Studholme, third son of Lieutenant-Colonel John Studholme, of Middleton Grange, Christchurch, New Zealand, and of the late Mrs Studholme, and Miss Elizabeth Janet (Betty) Crawford, eldest daugh ter of Mr and Mrs C. J. Crawford, Wayside, St Andrews. The Rev J. M’L. Campbell and the Rev G. Nowell Price officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of white satin, close-fitting at the waist, with a very full skirt and close-fitting sleeves. Her train of white satin and net fell from the waist, and she wore a veil of old family Brussels lace. She had a pearl necklace and carried a bouquet of pale pink carnations. She was attended by her four sisters—Miss Barbara, Miss Eileen, Miss Jean and Miss Margaret Crawford—and by Miss Claudia Blackburn and Miss Alison Ilopwood. With their dresses of pale blue chiffon they had flower wreaths to match and crystal bead necklaces, and they carried bouquets of cream roses. Mr R H. Studholme was best man. A reception was held at Wayside afterwards, and among those present were Mr and Mrs W. Studholme, Mr J Studholme, Miss Studholme, Miss Ward, Mr and Mrs H. Studholme, Mr J M. R. Studholme, Mrs Studholme, Miss Rosalinde Studholme, Mr and Mrs R. 11. Studholme, Mr and Mrs J. Rennie, Colonel and Mrs Skene, Sir Charles and Lady Alice Fergusson, Sir John and Lady Gilmour, Mrs Dennistoun, Sir Basil Thomson, Professor and Mrs D’Arcy Thompson. J udd—Redf ern. A pretty evening wedding took place yesterday at St. Mary’s Church, Merivale, when Marjorie, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs J. O. Redfern, Darfield, was married to Henrv Overland, second son of Mr and Mrs G. H. Judd, Waddington. The Rev Moffat, Sheffield, officiated, assisted by Archdeacon P. B. Haggitt, and Mr Alfred Worsley was organist. Mrs Richard Broadbelt sang a solo. The church was decorated with pot plants and foliage. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a dainty gown of ivory georgette and lace. The fully-flared ankle-length skirt had a plain panel of georgette back and front, and the fitting bodice was finished with a bolero effect of lace. A coatee of georgette had sleeves of lace with a deep flounce of georgette. Her net veil, handsomely embroidered, was worn off the face and held in place with a circlet of orange blossom, and she carried a bouquet of freezias and lilies. The bridesmaid. Miss Eileen Redfern, sister of the bride, wore a primrose georgette frock made with a flared skirt and two hip frills. A coatee of the same material was clasped with a buckle in geranium and primrose shades and she wore a primrose felt hat with a geranium velvet bow under the brim. Her bouquet was in shades to tone. Mr William Judd attended his brother as best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at Dixieland. Mrs Redfern, mother of the bride, received the guests wearing a smart marine blue lace frock, made with a flared skirt and vandyked bodice and a lace coatee with a medici collar. Her straw hat was to tone. She carried a bouquet in heliotrope shades. Mrs Judd, the bridegroom’s mother, wore a smart navy marocain frock with a beige vestee, a sealskin coat and a np-- hat to match. She carried a posy of scarlet flowers. Miss Joan Redfern, sister of the bride, wore a powder blue floral georgette patterned in red and lemon shades, and a coatee to match. When Mr and Mrs 11. O. Judd left on their wedding tour the bride wore a wedgewood blue silk marocain frock with a pleated skirt under a blue cloth coat and a hat to tone.
