BREAK-UP DANCE.
Miss M. Menzies’ Pupils Enjoy Evening. To celebrate the close of her winter dancing classes for this season, Miss Mary Menzies gave a “ break-up ” dance for the younger pupils last evening at the studio. Large bowls of beautiful spring flowers were arranged about the hall, giving it a festive appearance. Miss Menzies wore a pretty frock of moonbeam blue moire, encircled by a narrow belt with a diamante buckle. Miss Egidia Menzies was in a dainty primrose ninpn frock patterned in a large blue conventional design. Miss Julie Snow wore an attractive lemon taffetas frock with a floral design in green and rose.
In addition to the pupils and their friends, there were also present a number of parents and others interested in the work of the young people. These included: Sir Cyril and Lady Ward, Dr and Mrs Arthur Thomson, Mr and Mrs R. W. Morrow, Mr and Mrs Ernest Vernon, Mr and Mrs W. 11. Cowper, Mesdames E. J. Pumphrey, J. F. Stratton, Alister Deans, R. Wallwork, Frank Cowlishaw, J. H. Williams and Misses Helen Buckham and Lulu Dyer (Wellington).
