REVOLUTION SPREADING.
President of Cuba to Meet Rebel Leaders. HAVANA (Cuga), August 14 It is reported that the revolt is spreading. President Machado has departed for the rebel zone, presumably to confer with the opposition leaders so as to end the bloodshed. Numerous skirmishes are reported as having occurred, with conflicting announcements as to the casualties. The commander of the army has ordered all retired and reserve officers, as well as ex-soldiers, to present themselves for immediate service.
