NEW STATE WITHIN N.S.W.

Development of Country Areas Urged. United Press Assfl.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, August 14. The active country movement, which aims at constitutional reform and the creation of new Federal units within New South Wales, received decided impetus to-day, when delegates from all parts of the country at a conference in Sydney reached an agreement for the formation of a’“ United Country Party,” whose platform will seek subdivision of New South Wales into new Federal units, giving increased representation in Parliaments, tariff reform, improved transport, reduction of costs and taxation, review of arbitration laws and the suppression of Communism. The whole policy will be directed towards the betterment and development of the country areas. The new organisation absorbs the Country Political Party.
