EXPORT BOUNTY DUTY DISCUSSED IN CANADA.
(United Press Assn.—By Elect.ic Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received April 1. 12.5 p.m.) OTTAWA, March 31. Payment of an export bounty duty by the Federal Government to stimulate the grain trade was brought up in the House of Commons by Mr A. M. Carmichael (Progressive). He said that at a meeting held at Glidden, Saskatchewan, a resolution was passed calling on the*sovernment to pay an export duty of fifteen cents on wheat, ten cents on rye and five cents on oats. Had the Government, he asked, given consideration to this plan, or was there an alternative consideration ? The Prime Minister requested that the question be placed on the Order Paper, an answer to be. given later.
