Military operations against the Burmese rebels are proceeding apace, the latest move being the organisation of mobile columns to cope with the changing conditions. Two hundred rebels, returning to their villages in the Insein district, have been arrested, while a general round-up is taking place in the Tharrawaddy district, where further fighting is reported to have occurred between the 2nd and loth Punjabis and the rebels. The rebels left fifteen dead on the ground, but the Punjabis suffered no casualties. The rebels attacked a rice mill owned by Chinese. The police killed six rebels and wounded many others.
