OTIRA TUNNEL FIGURES INCREASED LAST WEEK.
The tonnage figures for the Otira Tunnel railway traffic for last week show an increase of 673 tons over the previous week, but for the same period last year a decrease of 740 tons was registered. The figures for last week, as compared with the previous week’s figures, given in parenthesis, are as follows: 9808 tons (9125 tons). The corresponding figures for last year were 10,548 tons (11,653 tons).
