MISS O. KAY BEATEN IN MANAWATU GAME. Per Press Association. PALMERSTON N., October 10. The semi-final of the Manawatu Ladies’ Golf Club championships were decided this morning, when Mrs Collihson (Manawatu) beat Miss Oliver Kay (Dunedin), two up and one after an interesting game. They were all square at the seventh hole, but at the turn the Manawatu player was two up. At the fourteenth Mrs Collinson was dormy four. Miss Kay took the next two holes, the game ending at the seventeenth, which was halved. Play was of a high standard in the other semi-final, Miss Watson (Manawatu) beating Mrs Williams (Masterton), two up and one. At the turn they were all square. From then onwards Miss Watson became more confident, playing consistent golf, and won two up at the seventeenth hole.
