FIRST DAY’S EVENTS RUN OFF ON A GOOD TRACK. The Christ’s College annual sports meeting was begun this afternoon when the opening events were held before an interested gathering of parents and friends. Following were the results:— 220yds Open (record, 24 l-ssec, D. M. Douglas, 1927) H. G. Norris 1, T. A. Gresson 2, A. J. Aitken 3. Gresson led until ten yards from the tape, when Norris put in a strong burst to win by a foot. Time—24 3-osec.
