THE RUGBY GAME. ; ALBION V. MERIVALE. The main attraction on Saturday at Lancaster Park will be provided by Albion and Mer Wale, who have pride of place on the oval. A curtain raiser commencing at 1.30 will be played between Training College and Christchurch. two teams well up in the Senior B grade. On the West ground Christchurch will play Merivale in the Junior 3 grade. On the south ground Christchurch will meet Technical. At Sydenham Park residents of the southern part, of the city will have an opportunity of seeing a senior team in action, when Old Boys will play Sydenham. At Rugby Park, Varsity will meet Jjinwood, and at the Show Grounds St Andrew’s will play Old Collegians in the Senior B grade. On the adjoining ground Sydenham and Kaiapoi Junior 1 grade should provide an interesting game. RANGIORA V. ASHBURTON. The annual match between the Rangiora and Ashburton High Schools was played at Rangiora yesterday, and was won by Rangiora by 0 points to 3. The game was fast though play was ragged sit times owing to the strong nor’-west wind. The forwards were evenly matched, but the play of the Rangiora backs was superior. B. Geissler, R. Jolly and W. Maunder scored tries for Rangiora, find J. Dickenson a try for Ashburton. Mr A. L. Lockhard was referee. EASY WIN FOR ST PATRICK’S St Patrick’s College. Wellington, beat St Bede’s College by 20 points to nil in tho annual Rugby match between the two schools, played at St Bede's yesterday. The visiting fifteen was much bigindividualists among them, who were far too good for the home team. Nine fries were scored by the visitors, all from back movements, and only one was AUCKLAND V.
