There was a large attendance at the regular social meeting of Te Akarana Maori Association, Onehunga, this week, when the Manukau Rugby Football Club joined in a hearty farewell to Mr Albert Falwasser, who is about to leave to play the League code in the Homeland. On behalf of the association, of which the guest has been a very popular member, the chairman (Mr James Rukutai) presented a greenstone pendant. The club also gave Mr Falwasser a handsome token of esteem and wished him all success. The recipient expressed hi 9 thanks for the gifts, aud said that he would dp his best to uphold the reputation of the Maori people and of New Zealand generally, both on and off the football field.
