MAN DISAPPEARS FROM MAUNGANUI.

Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, December 5.

A resident of Ponsonby, J. Rogers, a passenger from Sydney, disappeared from the Maunganui at 9 p.m. on Saturday, a few hours after the vessel left Sydney. He had been walking on the deck and talking with fellow passengers, apparently in his usual health. The night was calm and there was not a heavy sea. Next morning he was missed. Despite a diligent search no trace was found.
