CHURCH DISPUTE IN HAMILTON.
CRITICISM OF BISHOP RULED OUT OF ORDER. Per Press Association. HAMILTON. May 1. All criticism of the Bishop of Waikato was ruled out of order by Dean Barnett, who presided at a meeting of the Cathedral parishioners last ingReferring to criticisms of the AngloCatholic ritualism, the Dean said that it was not within the province of the vestry to arrange the services. He was absolutely responsible for the direction of the spiritual work and the arrangement of the services. In nominating seven members for the Cathedral Chapter, Mr G. Bindon said that these Candidates were deeply concerned over the present unhappy position. They felt that they could not support the present bishop. If elected they would endeavour to restore harmony in the church and resist the introduction or continuance of ritualistic or Anglo-Catholic practices. All the seven members so nominated were elected, together with three others.
