TEA PRICES RISE AT INDIAN SALES.

At the tea sales the demand for all classes was brisk, and showed an upward tendency in prices, particularly for the better sorts, which improved one to one and a half annas, medium and poorer classes by one anna, and dusts by six pice. The average prices were: Common Pekoe Souchong and broken Pekoe Souchong, twelve annas six pice; even black-leaf Pekoe, thirteen annas to thirteen annas six pice.
