Observing that the financial position of the London County Council tramways is not as satisfactory as could be wished, the District Auditor states in his annual report that the immediate future must be regarded -with some apprehension. Unless, he sa\-s, ear 1 y recovery takes place in the financial results of the undertaking, the result «.f provision for repayment of loans is l-’kely to cause the burden on the rates to become more serious.
