MOTOR HIT TRAM IN FERRY ROAD

head-on collision UPSETS TIMETABLE. A collision occurred in Ferry Road between Princes and Bamford Streets, last evening, between the 5.2 p.m. tram from Woolston and a motor-car that was proceeding in the direction of Sumner. The tram was not damaged by the impact, which was almost head on, but the motor-car suffered a good deal of damage. The accident caused a delay to the tram of about twenty minutes, and this had the effect of upsetting the timetable running of the cars for some time. Normal running, however, was restored before six o’clock.
