GOODSELL TO ROW BURNS AND BARRY.
By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Aus. and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received June 23. 11.30 a.m.) VANCOUVER, June 22. Major Goodsell stated at San Francisco that it was uncertain with whom he was next to race, but likely contenders were Alf Burns and the English Champion, Bert Barry. Barry recently wrote stating that he expected to put up the initial deposit, but Goodsell has not yet been advised that this has been done. Burns’s deposit has been made, as he is first in line for the race. Goodsell will fix Oakland Estuary os the place for the race, but cannot row before August, as Burns is in Australia and Barry is in England.
