TROWERN DEFEATS SID BUXTON ON POINTS, AFTER 15 ROUNDS.

At the Stadium Reg Trowern (1 Ost .1 lb) out-pointed Sid Buxton (9st 131 b), Bn gland, in a fifteen rounds contest, ■which was fought at a fast rate throughout. The Englishman was badly punished. Trowern forced the fight from the commencement, but tired afjer the twelfth round. Buxton wai.floored twice in the second round, but Jte recovered, and fought back. The tenth was a terrific round. Trowern attacked strongly, but Buxton made a good stand, and steadied the New Zealander with a right and left to the head. From the twelfth round, when the New Zealander was tiring Buxton scored frequently, and in the thirteenth he shook Trowern. For the remaining rounds the New Zealander held on a lot and was cautioned by the referee, but at the conclusion he had a comfortable margin of points and received a popular decision.
