HAWARDEN PLUNKET SOCIETY.

FANCY DRESS PARTY. The Hawarden branch of the. Plunket Society held a fancy dress party in the Hawarden Ilall on Saturday night. The children attended in large force and spent a very happy evening. Eleven prizes were given for the dresses, and awards were made as follow:—-Girls ov'er eight: Best fancy dress, Eva Miles; best paper dress, Jessie Croft; most original, Myrtle Hewitt. Girls under eight: Best paper dress, Jessie Tiplady; most original, Dorothy Wood; best fancy dress, Joyce Wright. Boys over eight: Most original dress, Jim Hewitt; best fancy dress, Dave Fisher. Boys under eight: Most original dress, Stewart Wood; best fancy dress, Fred Quinlivan. Boys’ paper dress, Gilbert Dono-

hue. The competition for the ham was won by J. Spence.
