The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a straight frock of ivory crepe de chine with godets of georgette and trimmed with hand-made silver flowers. The veil was worn in mob cap style with wreath of orange blossom. With this was worn a rope of pearls. She carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums relieved with bronze and maidenhair fern. Miss Ivy Atkinson, sister of the bride, who attended as chief bridesmaid, wore a frock of turquoise blue marocain, made on straight lines with silver godets and silver bandeaux. She also carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums. Mr Norman Atkinson was best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of Mrs Atkinson, where about seventy guests were entertained. The guests were received by Mrs Atkinson, who wore a navy gaberdine frock relieved with putty trimmings and buttons and a hat to match. The bridegroom’s mother wore a frock of navy striped silk marocain with Oriental trimmings and a hat of mole velvet, relieved with blue satin. The bride and bridegroom left later for the south, the bride wearing a fawn dress and a small brown velvet hat. She also wore a nigger brown velour coat trimmed with coney seal fur, the gift of the bridegroom.
