NURSES’ MEMORIAL.
MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. A meeting of the executive of the Nurses’ Memorial Chapel Fund was held at the Christchurch Hospital yesterday, Dr W. Fox occupying the chair. The honorary secretary, Mr J. W. Baty, reported that the fund had now an amount of £1725 in hand which was considered very satisfactory. The organiser. Mr W. E. Leadley, reported that the “Hospital Sunda3' : ’ collection had not come up to expectations, but a sum of £434 5s Id had been receded, made up as follows:
A hearty vote of thanks was passed to the Commercial Travellers’ Concert Party for their assistance. Plans were discussed for another effort to _be made during May to raise the remaining funds necessary to enable the committee to commence building operations. It was reported that no reply had been received as yet from the Minister of Health regarding a Government subsidy on money collected by the committee.
