GRAND THEATRE.
“Tongues of Flame” is the big production which heads the current programme at the Grand Theatre. “Hellfirc Harrington,” impersonated by Thomas Mcighan, was a lucky fellow to have two sweethearts,* and the problem which confronted him in deciding which he should make his wife was a perplexing one. Lazy wives wer© all light for those that liked them, but he did not. Like the shrewd man lie was, he did not go up to each of the girls in turn, and ask them just what they could do about the house. But he kept his eyes open, and being a patient man be watched tor a long time air; it thust .be said that lie was a little off the track before lie began to *think seriously about bis position. Life in a small town. where petty wranglings amongst neighbours holds sway, is the predominating note in “On tiie Banks of the Wabash,” the second attraction cn th© programme. Brilliant incidental music is played by the Grand Orchestra, under the direction of Mr Harold Beck.
