A GIANT HORSE.

There arrived in New Zealand a few days ago for the commencement of his tour, Ajax, the giant quarter-bred Arab horse, said to be the tallest horse in the world. Ajax has just recently completed a tour of all the principal shows in Australia. At the Melbourne Royal Show he was viewed by over 60,000 people. It was arranged that Ajax was to be shipped to Sydney four days after the conclusion of the Melbourne Show, and there to be reshipped to New Zealand for a tour of the agricultural shows of the Dominion, but in the meantime the giant was removed from the showground, and it was not until the owner had searched every stable in South Melbourne and other suburbs that he was located finally in St Kilda. No doubt this animal will be viewed by many thousands of the horse-loving fraternity of Christchurch during the coming week.
