CHINESE POMERANIAN PONY.

TO BE EXHIBITED AT THE SHOW. A Chinese Pomeranian pony, said to be the smallest pony in the world, will be one of the attractions at the Metropolitan Show this week. This wonderful pony, which has never before been shown in New Zealand, is nearly four years old, yet it has a height of only 18 inches, a length of 24 inches, and weighs only 241 b. It will be exhibited in a tent on the Show Grounds, together with the trotting ostriches. The ostriches have raced at the Melbourne Show and also on the Caulfield racecourse, but they have been stopped by the New Zealand Government ftom racing on racecourses or show grounds in the. Dominion. A bird will be harnessed and put into his trotting sulky, and an exhibition will be given inside the marquee alongside “ Little Tom Thumb.” the pony. The exhibits are under the direction of Mr T. Hesse.
