CANTERBURY ROWING ASSOCIATION.

a' meeting of the executive of the Canterbury Rowing Association was held in the Canterbury Rowing clubs boathouse last evening:; present— Messrs F. 1). Kesteven (president), W. Duggan, R. E. Nightingale. W. S. Godfrey (vice-presidents), (i. H. Hobbs. G. Ebert (Union), A. R- Wood, C. Champ (Avon). R. J. Hobbs. W- E. Evans 'Canterbury). V. It. Peters (Sumner). •T. 11. Kectley (Core). A. L. Styche, W. Kersrison (Akaroai, F. Horne. S. Taylor (Timaru). and the secretary, Hr H. Layton. The application of the Lyttelton Club for affiliation was granted. The Redcliffs Regatta- and Gala Committee submitted a programme of events for December 2 for approval. The programme was approved. The programme for the Lyttelton regatta, on December -26 was passed subject to the entry fees being in order. It was decided, after some discussion, that the Lyttelton Club be advised that trophies be substituted for prize money on its opening day. The Akaroa Regatta Club wrote regarding the transport of boats to Akaroa for their annual regatta. It was decided that a suit-committee, consisting of Messrs F. D. Kesreven. R. J. Hobbs, and R. E. Nightingale be set up to make the necessary arrangements. Mr 1?. J. Hobbs moved that the Akaroa Regatta Club be advised to hold their regatta on December J 6 to avoid clashing with the championship. The New Zealand Association wrote concerning the annual meeting of the N.Z. A.R.A. The championship had been allotted to Southland, and the Interprovincial Fours to Wellington. The alteration to the rules proposed by the Canterbury delegate was lost on die casting vote ot the chairman. Championship coats and caps wore to be given to winners of Interprovincial Fours, the style of badge to be decided later.
