DANCE AT ADDINGTON.
Last "Wednesday evening the Ladies’ Committee of the Addington Burgesses’ Association held a plain and fancy dress dance in the Oddfellows’ Hall, Selwyn Street, in aid of the Selwyn Kindergarten. There were about sixty couples present. The arrangements were in the hands of a committee consisting of MesJames Chapman, G. Burford, Hill an 1 F. Mathieson. Mr G. Burford was M.C. 'Tlie music was supplied by the Rosella Orchestra. The judge-s, Mrs Rundle, Miss Corbett, Mr Gledhill and Mr B ill, awarded the prizes to the following . Mrs W. Bettle (Ice Creams), most original ; Miss M. Burford (Superstitions), cheapest ;and Miss D. Braid (Roast),
Taylor (Post Office Parcels) won the men’ prize, most original and special. Among the guests were :—Mesdames T. Bettle, P. Williamson. J. Boot, Andrew’s, Burns. Paterson. Mallard (Indian Maid). W .
