WEDDING.
WHITHAAi—TAYI/ER. A wedding was recently solemnised at All Saints Church, Eltham, Taranaki, when Alice May (Bunty), youngest daughter of Air and Mrs G. W. Xavier, was married to Leslie Arthur, eldest son of Mr and Mrs J. R. AVhitham, of St Albans. The ceremony was performed by Rev H. J. G. Goldthorpe. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in a very simple frock of ivory crepe de chine, made with panei effect and daintily embroidered. Her veil of white embroidered tulle was held in place with a wreath ot orange blossoms, and she carried a bouquet of white hothouse flowers, asparagus and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaid, Aliss Nora Thompson (of Awakino), wore a simple frock of powder blue georgette and a picture hat of maize relieved with soft trimmings of pink and blue. Air Roy Tayler, brother of the bride, was best man. The bride’s travelling costume was of kingfisher blue trimmed with Iflack j braid, and she wore a black panne | velvet hat to match. Air and Afrs ! AVhitham left for the north in the { afternoon. Their future home will be j in Wellington.
