WINTER CARDEN.
NATIONAL ELECTRICAL COMPANY’S BALI.. The staff of the. National Electrical and Engineering Company held their annual ball in the Winter Garden last evening. Tile scheme of decoration was charming and striking, being Chinese in character. Quaint coloured lamps shrouded many of the lights. and others were hung with streamers of yellow' flowers. Panels on the w r all depicting weird "Chinese masks and dragons formed an effective addition to the decoration ; whilst large baskets of flowers dependent overhead added a light touch of colour to the scheme. Bailey’s Banjo Jazz Orchestra was in attendance and supplied excellent dance music. There whs a sit-down supper, the tables looking very dainty decorated with vases of white daisies ; ferns.
