At to-day’s meeting: of the North Canterbury executive of tho Farmers’ Union the following resolution was carried, without dissent —“ That this executive notes with pleasure the progress that has been made towards a compulsory pool of exportable meat, and we also note with satisfaction that the producers will have a majority on the pool board; this executive urges expedition in its initiation and emphasises the vital importance of the pool board being absolutely independent of State guarantee.”
