COMFORT STATION OR HOUSES.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —The Council recently deplored the fact that it had no money for houses, and got very angry with the Government for haggling about loans. Yet it can talk about spending £4OOO on an unnecessary “ comfort station.” There ib not much comfort in it for tho ratepayers, who see their money being frittered away in this fashion. I hope the public opposition to this crude proposal will kill it stone dead.— I am, etc. RATEPAYER.
