Th > Royal Geographical Societv is organising an attempt to climb Mount Everest. feet, with the assistance of the Tibetan Government, which hitherto has prevented white men going within forty miles of the mountain’s base. A reconnaissance will he sent out in 1921. with an aeroplane to explore approaches, map the ground and make a photographic analysis of the mountain. The party probably will go to Tibet in 1922.
