(Received September 18, 9.10 a.m.) NEW YORK, September 17. Investigators of the Wall Street, disaster state that the explosion carried ft'ith it iron slugs weighing a pound or more. These new everywhere, doing considerable damage. This discovery strengthens Uio theory that it was a bomb outrage. Thousands of dollars' worth of securities were lost as a result of tho explosion. Stockbrokers report that many messengers carrying securities, dropped them and ran as soon as the detonation occurred, while other messengers disappeared in the confusion and have not yet returned. Owing to tho growing conviction that the explosion was caused by an infernal machine, the Federal authorities in other large cities have boon instructed to look out for similar occurrences. Strong guards have been placed around pub.lic buildings, and the homes of wellknowu hnanciers and commercial men. •The. number of injured discovered now totals two hundred. A large army of workers, tinder the light of countless searchlights, last night began to clear up tho debris and repair the damage in the explosion area, and within twelve hours after the detonation tho streets began to assume a. more normal appearance. All business houses and tho Stock Exchange have announced that business will remime this mornkig, as usual. Edward Fischer, the man who sent cards warning his friends of the explosion, has been arrestod in Hamilton, Ontario. ■ THE ARRESTED MAN. CAVE WARNING OF EXPLOSION. Australian and N.Z. He sent from Toronto, warnings to the members of the Commissioner's statt, and to a New York broker, stating that Wall Street would bo blown tip on September 15. The day ibeforo the explosion in front of tho Morgan offices, a tennis club caretaker reports that Fischer personally warned him that an attempt would be made to blow up the Morgan building. Fischer was regarded as mentally unbalanced, and the victim of a mania for Bolshevism.
