To-night will witness the final screenof the present programme at the Grand theatre, which includes “The Courageous Coward.” starring Sessue Hayakawa and his talented wife, Tsuru Aoki, also “Rowdy Ann,” a very laughable comedy. On Alonday will be screened Charles Kleins famous stage success, “The third Degree,” which was presented on the stage here by Julius Knight and Katherine Grey. Alice Jqycc provides masterly work in the character of Annie Jeffries and Gladden James ably portrays tho ~ hoy who isn’t of strong character. L. Rogers Lytton. as the police captain, and Edward Al’Gnire, as bis sergeant are, capital. These players carry the action, but they arc ably supported bv ' the whole cast. It is one of* the best , pictures of the year.” The play lends itscll remarkably to picturisatiou, as it embodies a wealth of action, sus- ; pen so, human interest and romance, rbe.so elements are admirably woven together and through them' the star (Alien Joyce) shines radiantly. The supi porting programme is an interesting one. Appropriate and tuneful selections by the Grand orchestra will be contributed.
