CANTERBURY ASSOCIATION.

The Management Committee of ihc Canterbury Cricket Association met lost evening; present—Messrs W. .Simpson (chairman), W. It. Patrick, tV. L. King, K. i!. Ca.ygill and K- K. Competitions Committee, that the coat of the second wicket at Sydenham Park should be borne by the East Christchurch and Sydenham Clubs. Correspondence was received from the Auckland, 'Wellington and Otago Associations with reference, to representative matches. It was decided to play 'Wellington at Christchurch on December 25, 2b and 27; Auckland at Auckland on January 2, 3 and 5, 3920; 'Wellington at Wellington, on January 8, 9 and 10; and Otago at Christchurch during February, tho dates to ho arranged later. The Southland Association wrote inviting a Canterbury team to play Southland at Invercargill. It was decided to reply stating fhat the Canterbury team would not bo going south this season. It was resolved lo invite the Hawke’s Bay Association to send a team to play the second Canterbury team at Christchurch on January 1, 2 and 3. and to offer tho visiting team 30 per cent of the net. proceeds. The New- Zealand Cricket Council wrote stating that at a. meeting of tho Management Committee of the council, a resolution was passed to the effect that in all inter-provin-, cial and shield matches under the jurisdiction of (he council, eight balls to the over would be played.
